The Calm Before the Storm

Filed in: Early Days

Guys I swear, it’s not as bad as it looks. Okay, it’s pretty bad – but the bones aren’t too shabby! Our first weekend of demo at the farm we had freezing rain all day and had to actually cut a path through the world’s largest hedges to be able to get inside. So far we’ve had rooms with three layers of carpet (I didn’t even know that was a thing), eight layers of wallpaper, a few layers of plaster and enough broken glass to last a lifetime. Hopefully you dig these calm-before-the-storm photos. As always, feel free to drop a comment below!

I’d really like to know why someone had shower curtain rings in the closet.

Haha that was the world’s smallest bathroom! I would have loved to see what the bathtub looked like, but it was gone before we got there.

That rose wallpaper was in my farmhouse . I stripped 3 layers of wallpaper and 2 layers of paint in one room and 2 layers of wallpaper in another room. I can empathize in the discoveries you find in an old farmhouse.
